BUILDING SUPPORTIVE POLICY ENVIRONMENTLOCAL ADVOCACY AND BASE BUILDING: PROMOTES AUTONOMY FOR CALIFORNIA CHARTER SCHOOLS AND ADDRESSES CHALLENGES SUCH AS AUTHORIZER OVER-REGULATION, FACILITIES AND SPECIAL EDUCATION THROUGH LOCAL ADVOCACY AND GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING.GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: IMPROVES THE POLICY ENVIRONMENT FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS IN CALIFORNIA THROUGH LEGISLATION AND REGULATORY ADVOCACY. CHARTER SCHOOLS LEGAL DEFENSE FUND: LITIGATES KEY ISSUES WHICH SUBSTANTIALLY IMPACT CALIFORNIA'S CHARTER SCHOOL MOVEMENT AND PROVIDES SUPPORT TO CHARTER SCHOOLS SEEKING FACILITIES UNDER PROPOSITION 39 OR FACING UNFAIR TREATMENT.
