COALITION OF HISPANIC WOMEN AGAINST CANCER'S (CHWAC) PROGRAM FOCUSED ON PROVIDING CANCER EDUCATION, PREVENTION AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE LATINX COMMUNITY. OUR 2018 PROGRAMMING INCLUDED: DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS USING LAY HEALTH EDUCATORS (LHES), PROVIDING FREE OR REDUCED COST BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER SCREENINGS TO TARGETED GEOGRAPHIC AREAS WITH HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF LATINX, AND FACILITATING A MONTHLY, SPANISH-SPEAKING SUPPORT GROUP FOR CANCER PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS. A TOTAL OF 202 WOMEN RECEIVED PAP SMEARS, 61 WOMEN COMPLETED THE EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY CLASSES, AND 15 WOMEN ATTENDED THE MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP.
