IN 2021, THE PRIMARY SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS TWO-FOLD.1) CONTINUING WORK WITH THE STATE OF WASHINGTON AND DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY IN WRITING LEGISLATION FOR THE CAFO PERMIT REGULATIONS AND WATER RIGHT AND QUALITY STANDARDS. THIS ALLOWS FAMILY FARMERS' VOICE AND CONCERNS TO BE REPRESENTED IN THE DISCUSSION.2) DEVELOPMENT OF THE REAL ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGN WHICH SETS OUT TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON RESIDENTS AND CITIZENS ON WHAT SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES ARE BEING USED BY FARMERS, HOW THIS IMPACTS AND IMPROVES WATER AND SOIL QUALITY, AND WHAT ADVANCEMENTS IN TECHNOLOGY AND FARMING PRACTICES ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED.
