Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
LOVE NOT LOST IS ON A MISSION TO REVOLUTIONIZE THE WAY WE HEAL IN GRIEF. THROUGH OUR PRESERVING MEMORIES PROGRAM, WE PROVIDE A FREE PORTRAIT SESSION TO PEOPLE FACING A TERMINAL DIAGNOSIS AND TANGIBLE MEMORIES FOR THEIR LOVED ONES. WE ALSO CREATE EMPATHY TOOLS AND SUPPORT RESOURCES FOR THE GENERAL COMMUNITY TO USE PERSONALLY AND AT WORK.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
PRESERVING MEMORIES PROGRAM: IN 2022, WE WERE ABLE TO SERVE FAMILIES (IN GEORGIA AS WELL AS A NUMBER OF OTHER STATES) FACING A TERMINAL DIAGNOSIS AND CREATE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES FOR THEIR LOVED ONES. WE TRANSITIONED THE TANGIBLE GIFT OF A PHOTO ALBUM TO A BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM-PRINTED WOOD BOX FULL OF 50 5X7 PRINTS FROM THEIR SESSION INSTEAD. WITH THE BOX OF PRINTS, FAMILIES CAN DISPLAY THEM AROUND THE HOME AS THEY CHOOSE, SHARE THEM AS DESIRED, AND HAVE MORE VERSATILITY IN THE TANGIBLE PRODUCT TO FULFILL THEIR NEEDS AND SUPPORT THEM IN GRIEF. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO CONTINUE TESTING TECH PLATFORMS THAT WOULD ALLOW US TO SCALE AND FOUND ONE THAT WORKS. WE HAVE BEEN BUSY CUSTOMIZING IT FOR OUR SPECIFIC NEEDS AND ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THAT THE PRELIMINARY TESTS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL. WE HAVE BUILT A FULLY VIRTUAL TRAINING PROGRAM SO THAT WE CAN START ACCEPTING PHOTOGRAPHERS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY. WE ARE INCREDIBLY EXCITED TO PUT THIS TO THE TEST IN 2023.
CORPORATE CARE PROGRAM: WITH THE NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR OUR PRESERVING MEMORIES PROGRAM AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT, WE HAVE LEFT THE CORPORATE CARE PROGRAM AS-IS FOR NOW. WE DID NOT CONVERT ANYTHING INTO AN ONLINE COURSE, BUT INSTEAD, STAYED FOCUSED ON IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS SINCE PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS HAVE LIFTED. WE ARE COMMITTED TO BRINGING THIS IMPORTANT WORK TO LEADERS EVERYWHERE TO HELP SUPPORT THEIR EFFORTS TO CARE FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND SUPPORT THEM THROUGH GRIEF AND CRISIS.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM:OUR SUPPORT TOOL, WWW.HOWCANILOVEYOUBETTER.COM, HAS CONTINUED TO BE A HELP TO PEOPLE LOOKING TO SUPPORT OTHERS. IN ADDITION TO THAT FREE RESOURCE, THE NEW PLATFORM WE CUSTOMIZED FOR THE PRESERVING MEMORIES PROGRAM WILL ALSO ALLOW US TO OFFER ADDITIONAL KEY SUPPORT AS AN ONLINE COMMUNITY. THE NEW LOVE WELL COMMUNITY ALLOWS INDIVIDUALS TO CREATE A FREE PROFILE AND HAVE ACCESS TO THREE FREE SELF-ASSESSMENTS TO HELP BUILD SELF-AWARENESS. IF PEOPLE CHOOSE TO KEEP THEIR PROFILE PUBLIC IN THE COMMUNITY, THESE RESULTS CAN ALSO HELP OTHERS KNOW HOW TO SUPPORT THOSE INDIVIDUALS BETTER. ANOTHER FACET OF THE NEW COMMUNITY IN A BOOK CLUB WE LAUNCHED IN 2022 TO FOSTER CONNECTION, EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT. OUR TEAM WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD OUT SUPPORT RESOURCES AND TOOLS ON THIS NEW PLATFORM AND ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITIES.
