OGTF ALSO PROVIDED ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND PROMOTES INTEREST IN ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP.

CUP COVE UNIVERSAL PLAYGROUND - PHASE II WAS A CONTINUATION OF COMPLETING THE CITY'S FIRST UNIVERSAL SPECIAL NEEDS PLAYGROUND LOCATED AT 429 TAYLOR ROAD IN OWENS CROSS ROADS AL. CONTRIBUTIONS TO OGTF ALLOWED US TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT INCLUDING THE SKY RUN ZIP TRACK AS WELL AS THE SPECIAL POURED IN PLACE SURFACING ALLOWING WHEELCHAIRS AND THE


GRANT FUNDING FOR "BIKESHARE PROGRAM" PROVIDED BICYCLES STRATEGICALLY PLACED THROUGHOUT PARKS AND OTHER AREAS IN HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA FOR THE PUBLIC TO USE WHICH PROMOTES BETTER HEALTH OUTDOOR RECREATION CLEAN AND GREEN TRANSPORTATION AND SUSTAINABILITY IN OUR COMMUNITY.


KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL PROVIDED FUNDING TO IMPLEMENT A 2022 KAB COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: UPS TREE PLANTING CIGARETTE LITTER PREVENTION AND CIGARETTE LITTER RECEPTACLES. AN ADDITIONAL $9,000 WAS SENT IN JANUARY 2023 FOR THIS GRANT.
