ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE - THE COALITION ADDRESSES THE SOCIOECONOMIC DISPARITIES, INSTITUTIONAL RACISM AND INEQUITY OF SERVICES EXPERIENCED BY FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND COMMUNITIES; AND ORGANIZES COMMUNITIES FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION RESULTING IN SOCIAL CHANGE TO OBTAIN SELF-DETERMINATION, WELLNESS, JUSTICE AND PROSPERITY.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER PROGRAMS - THE COALITION HAS LAUNCHED A COMPREHENSIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE DRIVEN BY THE COALITION'S VALUES OF HONORING CULTURAL-SPECIFICITY WHILE ALSO BUILDING A MULTICULTURAL MOVEMENT FOR COLLECTIVE ACTION. OUR MISSION IS TO SIGNIFICANTLY EXPAND THE CAPACITY OF OUR COMMUNITIES TO SELF-ORGANIZE, NETWORK, BUILD CULTURALLY-SPECIFIC SOCIAL CAPITAL, AND PROVIDE LEADERSHIP WITHIN AND OUTSIDE COMMUNITIES OF COLOR.
