THE CENTER FOR APPLIED DRAMA & AUTISM DEVELOPS AND IMPLEMENTS APPLIED DRAMA PROGRAMS, TRANSITIONING WORKSHOPS, AND INTERNSHIPS FOR PEOPLE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM IN ORDER TO SUPPORT SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO PRACTICE SKILLS THAT ENHANCE COMMUNICATION IN REAL LIFE SITUATIONS. CADA ALSO OFFERS TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE RELATED TO, WORK WITH, AND PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THOSE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM. CURRENTLY CADA OFFERS DRAMA CLASSES FOR CHILDREN, TEENS AND ADULTS, OUTREACH PROGRAMMING, AND A THEATER COMPANY, THEATRE ON THE SPECTRUM, THAT IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES WHO WANT TO CREATE AND PRODUCE THEATRE. AS THE COMPANY EXPANDS PROGRAMMING, IT INTENDS TO DEVELOP PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES THAT FOSTER INCLUSIVITY IN THE THEATRE.
