LEAD OHIO FILLS A UNIQUE GAP IN OHIO'S PROGRESSIVE INFRASTRUCTURE THROUGH A SERIES OF TRAINING PROGRAMS DESIGNED FOR COMMUNITY LEADERS WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON EQUITY FOR GROUPS WHO ARE UNDERREPRESENTED IN GOVERNMENT. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, WOMEN, PEOPLE OF COLOR, MILLENNIALS / GEN ZS AND MEMBERS OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY. WHO CAN TRAIN WITH LEAD OHIO? WE WELCOME PROGRESSIVES FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS WE'VE FOUND THAT THOSE WHO BENEFIT MOST FROM OUR TRAININGS INCLUDE COMMUNITY LEADERS AND ACTIVISTS,NONPROFIT LEADERS, CAMPAIGN OPERATIVES AND VOLUNTEERS AND POTENTIAL CANDIDATES FOR PUBLIC OFFICE. THROUGH ITS PROGRAMMING, LEAD OHIO RECRUITS, TRAINS, CONNECTS, AND EDUCATES PROGRESSIVES ACROSS OHIO ON HOW TO SHAPE A MORE EQUITABLE AND JUST FUTURE FOR ALL OHIOANS. THE ORGANIZATION PRIORITIZES SERVING UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS - LIKE WOMEN, BIPOC, MILLENNIALS/GEN ZS, AND MEMBERS OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY - WHEN CREATING PROGRAMS THAT EMPOWER AND ENABLE LEADERS IN OHIO'S INSTITUTIONS.
