Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
TEXANS FOR CHARITABLE BINGO (TFCB) IS AN ADVOCACY GROUP FOR LOCAL CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS TEXAS. TFCB STRIVES TO COMMUNICATE WITH STATE AGENCIES TO HELP REDUCE THE REGULATORY BURDENS PLACED UPON THE LOCAL EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS REGARDING CHARITABLE BINGO OPERATIONS AND REPORTING. TFCB ALSO ACTIVELY PROMOTES LEGISLATION THAT WOULD HELP CLARIFY AND CHANGE CERTAIN RULES FOR CONDUCTING BINGO GAMES. THESE CHANGES WILL HELP THE LOCAL CHARITIES EARN ADDITIONAL PROCEEDS FROM THEIR ENDEAVORS, THUS PROVIDING MORE FUNDING TO THE NEEDY IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
ONE MAJOR BILL PASSED THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE IN 2023 BENEFITTING CHARITABLE BINGO BY INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY ALLOWED FOR PRIZE PAYOUTS. TFCB CONTINUES TO EDUCATE LEGISLATORS ABOUT CHARITABLE BINGO AND THE POSITIVE ECONOMIC EFFECTS THE GAMES HAVE ON LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
