BRIDGING GAPS IN INFORMATION, NETWORK AND BELIEFS, ESPECIALLY FOR UNDERSERVED YOUTH, THROUGH A VIRTUAL CAREER DAY, A MEDIA PLATFORM THAT HELPS STUDENTS DISCOVER CAREERS BY LETTING THEM EXPLORE THE EXPERIENCES OF OTHERS THROUGH DIVERSE STORYTELLING, LEARN WHAT STEPS TO TAKE TO PURSUE A PARTICULAR CAREER PATH AND CONNECT THEM WITH THE NECESSARY RESOURCES, CONTENT AN D ORGANIZATIONS TO PURSUE THEIR GOALS.
INTERNS ARE MENTORED BY INDUSTRY ADVISORS AND PARTICIPATE IN CREATING INSPIRATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL CAREER CONTENT. THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE, THEY NOT ONLY GAIN REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE, HONE THEIR SOFT SKILLS, LEARN ABOUT A VARIETY OF CAREERS, BUILD THEIR PORTFOLIO/REEL, BUT THEY ALSO DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS WITH CURRENTLY WORKING PROFESSIONALS TO BUILD THEIR NETWORK OF CONTACTS IN THEIR FIELD OF INTEREST AND INCREASE THEIR BELIEF AND CONFIDENCE THAT THEY TOO CAN PURSUE THIS CAREER.
