TO ENCOURAGE & GUIDE CHILDREN & YOUNG ADULTS TO DISCOVER THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL THROUGH EDUCATION RECREATION & COMMUNITY OUTREACH.

Part 3 - Line 4a

1) BASKETBALL CLINIC - BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 7 TO 15 OF ALL SKILL LEVELS WILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR CAMPS. THE CAMPERS WILL FOCUS ON INDIVIDUAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT, THE IMPORTANCE OF FUNDAMENTALS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A HEALTHY TEAM ATTITUDE. CAMPERS TAKE PART IN A VARIETY OF COMPETITIONS AND FUNDAMENTAL DRILL WORK. 2) COMMUNITY OUTREACH - TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE RECREATIONAL EVENTS AT NO COST AND REWARDING THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO SUCCEED OR SHOW MAJOR IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR SCHOLASTIC ENDEAVORS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY: - INCREASING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND AFFORDABLE EDUCATIONAL OPTIONS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS. - AFTER-SCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMS THAT CULTIVATE ACADEMIC SUCCESS. - PROGRAMS FOR THE YOUTH WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN HOSPITALS. - MENTORING YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS: (PROVIDING AN OUTLET FOR YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS TO STAY OFF THE STREETS AND HAVE A POSITIVE MENTOR STRUCTURE TO ASSIST IN PROMOTING SUCCESS AND A PERSONAL/ PROFESSIONAL GROWTH: COUNSELING, TUTORING, TEAM BUILDING, ETC.) - TRAINING FOR LIFE SUCCESS (CAREER, DRESSING, TECHNOLOGY, SPEAKING, INTERNSHIPS, PLACEMENT, ETC.). - CLOTHING DONATIONS: (PROVIDING SHOES AND CLOTHES TO KIDS IN NEED. I.E. FOSTER KIDS, GROUP HOMES, LOW-INCOME QUALIFIED HOMES, ETC.) - STABILIZING AND SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN NEED. 3) YOUTH MENTORSHIP - DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN BY BEING A ROLE MODEL THAT ENCOURAGES POSITIVE ATTITUDES AND BUILDS STRONG TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS. OUR MENTORS ARE DESIGNED TO SUPPORT AND CHALLENGE THE CHILD ACADEMICALLY, SOCIALLY AND/OR PERSONALLY. OUR GOAL IS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS SUPPORT SYSTEM THROUGH SCHOOLWORK, COMMUNICATION, AND OUTSIDE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.
