PROVIDE EDUCATION, SCHOLARSHIPS AND MATERIALS EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF ANDERSON SCHOOL DISTRICT FIVE.

TEACHER AND INSTRUCTIONAL GRANTS AND MATERIALS TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL LEARNING. PROGRAMS INCLUDE - 1. ANDERSON INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - PROGRAM DESIGNED TO ENHANCE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING LEARNING (INCLUDING MACHINE TOOLS, MECHATRONICS, AND BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY. 2. FIRST QUALITY VEX ROBOTICS - PROGRAM DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ROBOTICS KITS LEARNING. 3. TEACHER GRANTS -PROGRAM DESIGNED TO AWARD TEACHERS WITH FUNDS TO USE FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES.


ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN CRISES. 1. HOMELESS FOUNDATION - PROGRAM TO HELP HOMELESS AND NEEDY STUDENTS WHEN THE FEDERAL MCKINNEY-VENTO HOMELESS PROGRAM MONEY CANNOT BE USED DUE TO RESTRICTIONS. ITEMS PURCHASED WITH THIS PROGRAM INCLUDE BUS PASSES, FOOD, MOTEL STAYS UNTIL TEMPORARY PLACEMENT IS FOUND, TELEPHONE COSTS, SALARY REIMBURSEMENTS AND SUPPLIES. 2. NEEDY STUDENTS AND STAFF FUND - PROGRAM DESIGNED TO FILL ANY IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL NEEDS FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF AS DETERMINED BY THE ANDERSON SCHOOL DISTRICT FIVE COMMUNITY OUTREACH DIVISION. 3. NO KIDS GO HUNGRY - A FEDERAL CHILD NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM WORKING TO ENSURE THAT MORE CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND TEACHERS KNOW ABOUT NUTRITION AND CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF INFORMATION AND RESOURCES.


OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES: 1. EVELYN MURPHY SCHOLARSHIP - PROGRAM DESIGNED TO AWARD A SCHOLARSHIP TO A SENIOR STUDENT WHO IS THE FIRST IN THEIR FAMILY TO ATTEND COLLEGE. 2. GRAINGER SCHOLARSHIP - PROVIDES A 1,000 SCHOLARSHIP TO A SENIOR SELECTED BY WESTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL AND T.L. HANNA HIGH SCHOOL. 3. OVERCOMING ADVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP- PROGRAM DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS ACHIEVE THEIR GOAL OF HIGHER EDUCATION THROUGH ATTENDANCE, INTERVENTION, AND RECOVERY. THE PROGRAM AWARDS A SCHOLARSHIP TO A SENIOR THAT HAS PARTICIPATED IN THIS PROGRAM. OTHER REWARD INCENTIVES ARE PROVIDED TO ELIGIBLE STUDENTS IN THIS PROGRAM. 4. ANDERSON COUNTY ROTC FLAGS - FURNISH FLAGS TO THE ROTC PROGRAM.
