IN PATIENT PROGRAMS : NICU (NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) & PICU ( PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) AT CHILDREN'S HEALTH MINISTRIES, THEY CARE FOR PREMATURE, LOW BIRTH WEIGHT AND CRITICALLY ILL NEWBORNS IN ITS NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT. LOCATED IN A REMODELED SHIPPING CONTAINER IN ITS CLINIC YARD, THE NICU IS SEALED OFF FROM DUST AND GERMS TO PROVIDE THE MOST HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT POSSIBLE FOR THE MOST FRAGILE BABIES. OUR PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT TREATS CRITICALLY ILL CHILDREN AGED 1 MONTH TO 5 YEARS OLD FOR THE MOST COMMON CAUSES OF PREVENTABLE CHILD DEATH: PNEUMONIA, DIARRHEA, INFECTIONS AND SEVER ACUTE MALNUTRITION.
