THE STEM EDUCATION COALITION POLICY FORUM HAS AN EXTENSIVE LIST OF PARTNERS IN ALL 50 STATES AND CAN CONNECT ECOSYSTEMS WITH PARTNERS TO FURTHER THEIR POLICY AND ADVOCACY NEEDS.
A TOOLKIT WAS CREATED AND IS UPDATED OFTEN TO INCLUDE A RANGE OF BACKGROUND MATERIALS AND FACT SHEETS ON KEY STEM AND INFORMAL EDUCATION TOPICS. THERE ARE LINKS TO FORMAL GUIDANCE ISSUED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO STATE AND LOCAL EDUCATORS ON HOW TO APPLY FOR FEDERAL FUNDS TO SUPPORT STEM EDUCATION THROUGH THE ESSA. THERE ARE ALSO LINKS TO WEBINARS AND OTHER IN-DEPTH MATERIALS ABOUT EDUCATION LAWS
THE POLICY FORUM HOSTED LAUNCHED A NEW SCIENCE ACCOUNTABILITY AND EQUITY WORKING GROUP IN 2023 THAT BROUGHT TOGETHER BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATION ORGANIZATIONS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO EXPLORE CURRENT ISSUES RELATED TO HANDS ON SCIENCE LEARNING. THE POLICY FORUM ALSO PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN A DOZEN STATE AND LOCALLY BASED STEM ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP THEM DEVELOP THEIR PUBLIC POLICY AGENDAS.
