IT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE JLA TO ANNUALLY PLAN AND IMPLEMENT THE JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW IN MONAHANS, TEXAS AND SURROUNDING AREAS, WHICH IS AN EFFORT TO ASSIST IN THE LOCAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OF FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA AND 4-H CLUBS. IT IS ALSO THE PURPOSE OF THE JLA TO ENCOURAGE, THROUGH THIS SHOW, THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY IN WEST TEXAS AS WELL AS PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE YOUTH IN THE PRACTICE OF GOOD CITIZENSHIP, SPORTSMANSHIP AND ANIMAL HUSBANDRY.
