IN THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR, ASM PROVIDED 180 TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT RAVENSWOOD STUDENTS WITH AN ON-DEMAND VIRTUAL TUTORING PROGRAM WHEREBY RAVENSWOOD FAMILIES COULD SIGN UP FOR TUTORING SUPPORT FOR THEIR STUDENTS. ASM VOLUNTEERS PARTNERED WITH FAMILIES AND CLASSROOM TEACHERS TO TUTOR AND MENTOR OVER 450 STUDENTS DURING VIRTUAL CLASS TIME. VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED A TOTAL OF 1,100 HOURS PER MONTH FROM OCTOBER THROUGH MAY.

WE PROVIDED 3200 VOLUNTEERS HOURS OF SYNCHRONOUS TUTORING VALUED AT $95840 USING THE INDEPENDENT SECTOR HOURLY RATE OF $29.95 FOR CALIFORNIA.


ALL STUDENTS MATTER PROVIDED ASYNCHRONOUS TUTORING OUTSIDE OF CLASS TIME: 83 VOLUNTEERS ENGAGED WITH STUDENTS AFTER SCHOOL OR ON WEEKENDS FOR 1:1 TUTORING SESSIONS VIA ZOOM. WE ORGANIZED 1935 VOLUNTEER HOURS OF ASYNCHRONOUS VALUED AT $57,953 USING THE INDEPENDENT SECTOR HOURLY VOLUNTEER RATE OF $29.95 FOR CALIFORNIA.
