WE SERVE THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN AGES 5-18 EACH YEAR THROUGH OUR OUTREACH AT FIRST RELATED EVENTS AND STEM EVENTS AS WELL AS SUPPORT OF THE QC STEM ALLIANCE OF FIRST LEGO LEAGUE AND FIRST TECH CHALLENGE TEAMS THAT ARE PART OF OUR NON-PROFIT. OUR FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION TEAM HAS 18 YOUTH, (16.7% FEMALE, 83.3% MALE) WHO RANGE IN AGE FROM 13-18. INCLUDING OUR ADDITIONAL FIRST TECH CHALLENGE TEAMS, FIRST LEGO LEAGUE AND FIRST LEGO LEAGUE JR TEAMS WE SERVE OVER 120 YOUTH AGES 5-18 WITH 40 VOLUNTEER MENTORS OF VARIOUS AGES AND STAGES OF THEIR CAREERS. APPROXIMATELY 50% OF BOTH YOUTH AND ADULTS ARE FEMALE, INCLUDING A FEW ALL FEMALE TEAMS.
