SAN DIEGANS FOR HEALTHCARE COVERAGE SDHCC AS A NOT FOR PROFIT CORPORATION, HAS A MISSION TO ACHIEVE HEALTH COVERAGE, ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE AND HEALTH FOR ALL SAN DIEGANS. AS A COLLABORATIVE SDHCC WORKS WITH OUR DIVERSE BOARD AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO DEVELOP IMPLEMENT BOTH LONG SHORT TERM STRATEGIES TO ACHIEVE THIS MISSION. THE SDHCC BOARD OF DIRECTORS REFLECTS THE DIVERSE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN OUR EFFORTS WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM HEALTH CARE HOSPITAL, COMMUITY CLINIC, PHYSICIAN, DENTAL SOCIAL SERSIVES, COMMUNITY BASE ORGANIZATIONS, ACADEMIA LOCAL GOVERNMENT. SDHCC HAS CONTINUED TO WORK WITH THE CONSUMER CENTER FOR HEALTH EDUCATION ADVOCACYA PROGRAM OF THE LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN DIEGO, TO CONDUCT OUTREACH EDUCTION CONSUMER ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS FACING BARRIERS TO COVERAGE AND CARE. SDHCC CONTINUES TO WORK TO IMPROVE POLICIES SYSTEMS AT THE STATE AND LOCAL LEVELS. SDHCC IS FOCUSED ON ASSISTANCE TO LOW INCOME SENIORS INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.
