THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA- LINCOLN LIBRARY IS OUR DEPOSITORY. PLAQUES, MEDALS, AND CERTIFICATES WERE ALSO AWARDED. TWO "FRIEND OF SCIENCE" AWARDS ARE GIVEN. MEMBERSHIP TOTALS OVER 850. NEWSLETTERS AND A WEBSITE ARE MAINTAINED FOR THE BENEFITS OF THE MEMBERSHIP. NUMEROUS SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS ARE GIVEN AND ARE DETAILED ELSEWHERE IN THIS 990PF RETURN.

THE NEBRASKA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES WAS AWARDED A GRANT FROM THE NEBRASKA ENVIRONMENTAL TRUST TO ADMINISTER THE TRUST'S PUBLIC INFORMATION AND EDUCATION MINI-GRANTS (PIE GRANTS). THE PIE GRANTS SUPPORT THE PRESENTATION AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION AND PERSPECTIVES THAT WILL STIMULATE ENHANCED ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP IN ANY CATEGORY ELIGIBLE FOR TRUST FUNDING. THE GRANT PROGRAM SEEKS TO EXPAND DIALOGUE ON IMPORTANT CONSERVATION TOPICS AND TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON EMERGING OR HIGHLY USEFUL CONSERVATION METHODS.
