THE PURPOSES OF PINE NUT WILD HORSE ADVOCATES IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL IN NATURE, TO WIT: A. TO EDUCATE RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES IN COMMUNITIES NEAR THE PINE NUT MOUNTAIN RANGE IN NEVADA ABOUT LIVING IN AREAS WHERE WILD HORSES AND BURROS EXIST SO THAT THEIR ACTIONS OR INTENTION DO NOT JEOPARDIZE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF HERDS OR OF OTHER AREA RESIDENTS. B. TO EDUCATE QUALIFIED VOLUNTEERS ON HOW TO WORK WITH THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT AND OTHER AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS, IN A COLLABORATIVE MANNER FOR POPULATION ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF HERD MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES WHICH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WILL PRESERVE THE HERDS IN A NATURAL AND WILD HABITAT. C. TO COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES, ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER GROUPS WITH SIMILAR INTERESTS IN SUPPORT OR OPPOSITION OF POLICY THAT COULD IMPACT WILD HORSES. D. TO HOST LOCAL MEETINGS AND EVENTS THAT WILL RAISE AWARENESS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN THE POPULATION, HEALTH AND SAFETY OF HERDS IN THE PINE NUT MOUNTAIN RANGE.
