IN 2022, ONE FAIR WAGE ACTION WAS ABLE TO ADVANCE POLICY TO RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE TO END THE SUBMINIMUM WAGE FOR TIPPED WORKERS IN MANY STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. ULTIMATELY, AS A RESULT OF THESE EFFORTS, A BILL TO THIS EFFECT WILL BE INTRODUCED AND PASSED IN MAINE AND WASHINGTON DC. ONE FAIR WAGE ACTION CONTINUES TO ADVANCE LEGISLATION IN MULTIPLE STATES AND WORKS HARD TO ENGAGE THOUSANDS OF LOW-WAGE FOOD SERVICE WORKERS WHO WERE ONCE RECIPIENTS OF THE EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND AND ARE NOW MEMBERS OF OUR LOCAL MEMBERSHIP GROUPS OF SERVICE WORKERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY THAT WANT TO RECEIVE A FAIR AND LIVABLE WAGE. THIS INCLUDES WORKING WITH ONE FAIR WAGE TO EVEN ADVANCE LEGISLATION IN MASSACHUSETTS, A FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION TO THE SENATE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SIX YEARS.
