FIRST, UNITED WE DREAM ACTION ADVANCES ITS MISSION BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC AND CONNECTING LOCAL, STATE, AND REGIONAL GROUPS TO PROMOTE PUBLIC POLICIES AND PROGRAMS THAT ADVANCE JUSTICE, EQUITY, AND DIGNITY FOR IMMIGRANTS AND COMMUNITIES OF COLOR IN THE U.S. SECOND, ADVOCACY - UWDA ADVOCATED FOR THE CONTINUATION AND EXPANSION OF DACA, ESPECIALLY IN RESPONSE TO NEGATIVE COURT DECISIONS AT THE TX DISTRCT COURT AND 5TH CIRCUIT, AND ADVOCATED IN SUPPORT OF CREATING LEGISLATION TO SUPPORT IMMIGRANTS IN THE UNITED STATES TO GAIN PROTECTIONS FROM DEPORTATION AND A PATH TO LEGAL STATUS/CITIZENSHIP. THIRD, CIVIC ENGAGEMENT - A PROGRAM TO EDUCATE IMMIGRANT FAMILIES TO ADVOCATE FOR THEIR RIGHTS AND TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THE POLITICAL PROCESS SO THEIR VOICES ARE HEARD.
