THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED OVER 620 NURSE PRACTITIONERS WITH ADVANCED ACCREDITED EDUCATION AND TRAINING WITHIN THEIR SCOPES OF PRACTICE IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ACROSS THE STATE IN A VARIETY OF LEARNING PLATFORMS. THE ASSOCIATION EARNED ACCREDITATION STATUS AS A PROVIDER OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS TO NURSE PRACTITIONERS ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF NURSE PRACTITIONERS.
LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY WAS PROVIDED MONTHLY WITH THE SUPPORT OF 2 REGISTERED LOBBYISTS. LOBBYING EFFORTS & INTRODUCTION OF BILLS TO BENEFIT THE NURSE PRACTITIONER WERE PROVIDED.
COMMUNICATION & MARKETING OF ADVANCED PRACTICE ROLES WERE PROVIDED TO BENEFIT NURSE PRACTITIONER PRACTICE & EDUCATION, EDUCATION TO THE PUBLIC ON A STATE, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL LEVEL. TWO MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS WERE HELD TO PROVIDE MEMBER UPDATES. THE ASSOCIATION HAS CONTINUED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND ADVOCACY THROUGH ITS WEBSITE, NEWSLETTERS, AND PUBLICATIONS IN OUR NURSE PRACTITIONER MAGAZINE TO NEARLY 9000 NURSE PRACTITIONERS WHO EITHER RESIDE OR WORK IN MISSISSIPPI, OR BOTH.
