NASH AWARENESS, EDUCATION, POLICY & COUNCIL: GLOBAL LIVER INSTITUTE IS DEDICATED TO GENERATING AN EFFECTIVE RESPONSE GLOBALLY TO THE HIDDEN AND GROWING EPIDEMIC OF NONALCOHOLIC STEATOHEPATITIS (NASH), A PREVALENT AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY LIVER DISEASE AFFECTING TENS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. GLI NASH INITIATIVES IN 2023 INCLUDED ENGAGEMENT IN OUR MULTI-STAKEHOLDER NASH COUNCIL, PUBLIC HEALTH POLICY INITIATIVES, MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL NASH DAY, AND PLANNING THE BEYOND THE BIOPSY CAMPAIGN.


OTHER PROGRAMS: THE GLOBAL LIVER INSTITUTE FACILITATES OTHER PROGRAMS IN ORDER TO FURTHER THE MISSION OF THE INSTITUTE. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE RESEARCH, TRAINING, GLI LIVE, AND LIVER HEALTH IS PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVE.

WORK PRODUCTS INCLUDED POLICY ASSESSMENT, MONTHLY LIVER HEALTH POLICY UPDATE NEWSLETTERS, WEBSITE CONTENT, ENGAGEMENT OF NASH COUNCIL MEMBERS, COLLABORATIVE LIVER AND PUBLIC HEALTH ADVOCACY PARTNERSHIPS, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING WITH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, LEGISLATORS, AND POTENTIAL COLLABORATING ORGANIZATION, LEGISLATIVE BRIEFINGS, AND SUPPORT OF AND BY PATIENT ADVOCATES.
