COMMISSION ON THE ARTS AND HUMANITIES GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN ALLOWING HOLA CULTURA TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR 51 TEENAGERS AND YOUNG ADULT INTERNS, FELLOWS AND VOLUNTEERS IN OUR SPELLING PROGRAM FOR EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING (SPEL) PROGRAM; AND 23 ADULT CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR SPANISH LITERARY PROGRAM. VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL EDITING AND PUBLICATION OF 90 INTERVIEWS AND ARTICLES AND 13 PODCAST EPISODES IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH AND WEEKLY EVENT LISINGS, FEATURING AND PROMOTING A TOTAL OF MORE THAN 400 WASHINGTON-AREA LATINX ARTISTS, WRITERS AND OTHER CREATIVE LEADERS. THE INTERVIEWS SELECTED FOR THE PODCAST HAD BEEN PREVIOUS CONDUCTED BY HOLA CULTURA'S SPEL YOUTH STORYTELLING PROGRAM.
