THE HIGH GROUND INSTITUTE STRIVES TO CREATE A STRONGER, MORE VIBRANT WISCONSIN. THE INSTITUTE WORKS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS IN A VARIETY OF WAYS, INCLUDING ENHANCING COMMUNICATION AND FOSTERING LEADERSHIP.

IN 2022, HIGH GROUND INSTITUTE WORKED TO INCREASE THE PUBLIC'S ENGAGEMENT WITH CIVIC LIFE THROUGH MASS COMMUNICAITON TECHNIQUES AND A FOCUS ON DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH. HIGH GROUND INSTITUTE PARTICIPATED IN A REGULAR TWO-WAY DIALOGUE WITH THE PUBLIC AROUND ISSUES SUCH AS INCREASED AWARENESS AROUND WATER QUALITY ISSUES IN WISCONSIN, PROVIDING FAIR AND REPRESENTATIONAL ELECTORAL MAPS, INCREASING THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WORKING TOWARD THEIR HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY DIPLOMAS, EDUCATED THE PUBLIC ON RESPONSIBLY DISPOSING THEIR UNUSED PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, CREATED MEDICATION DISPOSAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH NEW PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL FIRE/EMS AGENCIES AND PHARMACIES IN RESPONSE TO THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC, AND ENCOURAGED RESIDENTS TO REGISTER TO VOTE. ADDITIONALLY, HIGH GROUND INSTITUTE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE COMMUNICATION CAPACITY TO OVER 85 ORGANIZATIONS TO DATE.
