LAKE PRAIRIE INDIAN GUIDES AND PRINCESSES IS A PARENT/CHILD ORGANIZATION THAT FOSTERS LIFE LONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH A FOCUS ON COMMUNITY, NATURE, FUN AND FAMILY. OUR MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES ARE CAMP OUT WEEKENDS IN WHICH PARENT AND CHILD BOND TOGETHER AND LEARN ABOUT NATURE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ORGANIZATIONS FOCAL PROGRAM SERVICE IS PERIODIC CAMPOUTS FOR THE MEMBER PARENT AND CHILDREN. THERE ARE THREE CAMPOUTS PER YEAR FOR THE GUIDES (BOYS) AND THREE CAMPOUTS PER YEAR FOR THE PRICENSSES (GIRLS). THE CAMPOUTS PROVIDE FOR A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO FOSTER LIFE LONG MEMORIES AND BONDING WHILE TEACHING CHILDREN ABOUT NATURE AND COMMUNITY.


THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS A MONTHLY MEETING OR EVENT IN WHICH THE CHILD AND PARENT SPEND TIME TOGETHER AND PARTICIPATE IN FUN EDUCATIONAL GAMES. THE EVENTS CREATE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENT AND CHILD TO BUILD A LIFE LONG BOND AND STRENTGHEN RELATIONSHIPS. EXAMPLES OF EVENTS ARE SKATING, BOWLING, HOLIDAY PARTY, PINEWOOD DERBY AND VALENTINES DANCE.


OTHER EXPENSES AND SUPPLIES USED IN CARRYING OUT THE EXEMPT MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION


THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASES PATCHES FOR PARENT AND CHILDREN VESTS. EACH PARENT AND CHILD WEARS A UNIQUE VEST TO PROGRAM EVENTS AND CAMPOUTS. A PATCH IS PROVIDED TO THE PARENT AND CHILD FOR EACH ATTENDED EVENT OR CAMPOUT. THE PATCH IS ATTACHED TO THE MEMBER VESTS. EACH MEMBER TRIBE AND NATION RECEIVES UNIQUE HEADWEAR AND MEDDALION AWARDS TO MARK MEMBERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP IN THE PROGRAM.
