THE FUNDRAISING PROGRAM SOLICITS CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS ON BEHALF OF ITS AFFILIATED AGENCIES BY WRITTEN AGREEMENT. IN FY2020-21, CASH DONATIONS OF $374,313 AND IN-KIND DONATIONS OF $1,789,050 BENEFITTED THE 9,500 CHILDREN SERVED BY EMBRACE FAMILIES COMMUNITY BASED CARE AND EMBRACE FAMILIES SOLUTIONS. FUNDRAISING HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE DANCE, DREAM & INSPIRE AND FORE OUR KIDS 700 SPECIAL EVENT ATTENDEES, AND ANNUAL HOLIDAY DRIVE COLLECTING TOYS AND GIFTS FOR 2,000 CHILDREN.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTTHE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM PROVIDES EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS, AND MARKETING SUPPORT SERVICES FOR AFFILIATED AGENCIES BY WRITTEN AGREEMENT. THIS PORTFOLIO INCLUDES MEDIA RELATIONS, WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, PROGRAM MATERIALS, COMMUNITY RELATIONS, VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT, AND CONSTITUENT ENGAGEMENT FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND MEETING PROGRAM-SPECIFIC NEEDS. THIS WORK INCREASES COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN OUR MISSION WORK TO END AND PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT, AND SUPPORT SAFE AND STABLE FAMILIES. HIGHLIGHT: APRIL 2021MANICURE MOVEMENT CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN.
FUND MANAGEMENT AND GRANTMAKINGEMBRACE FAMILIES FOUNDATION'S FUND MANAGEMENT AND GRANTMAKING PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES TO EXECUTE A DONOR'S CHARITABLE PURPOSE BY WRITTEN AGREEMENT. EMBRACE FAMILIES FOUNDATION MANAGES AND MAINTAINS THE FUNDS AND GENERAL OPERATIONS OF THE CHILD WELFARE SPECIAL PLAN REINVESTMENT FUND TO BENEFIT AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM OF CARE THROUGHOUT FLORIDA THROUGH GRANTMAKING. HIGHLIGHTS: IN 2020-2021, $53,947 IN ORTHODONTIC SERVICES WAS DISTRIBUTED TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS IN FOSTER CARE. NET EARNED INCOME OF $56,875 WAS USED TO HELP COVER THE AGENCY'S OPERATING EXPENSES.
