CONDUCTING AND PROMOTING RESEARCH ACTIVITIES TO COLLECT AND ANALYZE DATA ON PATIENT EXPERIENCES AND HEALTH OUTCOMES IN THE US HEALTH CARE SYSTEM TO ASSESS WAYS TO IMPROVE QUALITY, EFFECTIVENESS, PATIENT SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY, AND TO DISSEMINATE SUCH DATA TO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AND RELATED ENTITIES. THIS IS CURRENTLY ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH QUARTERLY MEETINGS WITH THE FOUNDING EXECUTIVE COUNCIL TO COLLABORATE ON TOPICS RELATED TO IMPROVING OUTCOMES, SEEK FEEDBACK ON EARLY ANALYTICAL FINDINGS IN TERMS OF RELEVANCE AND USEFULNESS TO THE MARKET FOR SHARING, AND ACTING AS A CONVENER OR FACILITATOR TO OTHER RESEARCHERS INTERESTED IN FINDING COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS (E.G., INVITING ORGS TO PARTICIPATE IN INDEPENDENTLY SPONSORED RESEARCH, INVITING ORGANIZATIONS TO CONTRIBUTE INSIGHT AND INFORMATION TO EXTERNAL COLLABORATIVES SUCH AS THE HEALTHCARE TRANSFORMATION TASKFORCE).
