ENGAGED IN PUBLIC AWARENESS OF DIABETES AND PARTNERING WITH DIABETES RELATED ORGANIZATIONS.DESCRIPTION: THE DIABETES LEADERSHIP COUNCIL LED THE DIABETES COMMUNITY IN THE CREATION OF A CONSENSUS STATEMENT ON US HEALTH REFORM FOR PEOPLE WITH DIABETES. DLC PROMOTES THE TENETS OF REFORM IDENTIFIED IN THIS STATEMENT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND ACROSS ALL CHANNELS. DLCCREATED AND RAN 30 SECOND VIDEO ADS TITLED "LESS TALK/MORE ACTION" GEOTARGETED AT FEDERAL LAWMAKERS IN WASHINGTON,DC EDUCATING THEM ON THE NEED FOR HEALTH REFORM. ADS RAN ON CNN AS WELL AS DIGITAL PLATFORMS RESULTING IN OVER 560,000 UNIQUE IMPRESSIONS ON CNN AND OVER 2.2 MILLION IMPRESSIONS VIA DIGITAL PLATFORMS.
