THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL AWARDED ARTS CONNECTION, THE DESIGNATED STATE LOCAL PARTNER ARTS AGENCY FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TO FOSTER CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE LOCAL LEVEL THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE STATE AND ARTS CONNECTION.THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, COUNTY-DESIGNATED LOCAL ARTS AGENCIES RECEIVE GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL. THIS GRANT WILL SUPPORT OUR ONGOING EFFORTS IN ADVOCACY, ARTS NONPROFITS CAPACITY BUILDING THROUGH OUR FISCAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM AND PROGRAM SERVICES FOR THE ARTS AND CULTURAL COMMUNITY IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY. AS A LOCAL ARTS AGENCY, WE ADVOCATE AND PROVIDE RESOURCES, SKILL-SHARING, AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT ACROSS CITY AND COUNTY POLICIES, FUNDING, AND PROGRAMMING.ADDITIONALLY, THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL AWARDED US AN IMPACT PROJECT GRANT OF $ 21,000 FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ARTIVISM. THIS IS A COLLABRATIVE COMMUNITY PROJECT BETWEEN ARTS CONNECTION, PC4EJ, AND GRAFICA NOCTURNA UTILIZING PRINTMAKING AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPACT OF THE WAREHOUSING INDUSTRY ON OUR REGION. WE ALSO RECEIVED $ 5,000 IN POETRY OUT LOUD FUNDING TO FURTHER PROMOTE ARTS AND LITERARY ENGAGEMENT. THE INLAND EMPIRE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, SERVING AS A FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE JUST SAN BERNARDINO COLLABORATIVE PROJECT FUNDED BY THE JAMES IRVINE FOUNDATION, AWARDED ARTS CONNECTION TWO AMOUNTS: $ 188,000 AND $ 110,000. THIS FUNDING SUPPORTS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PEOPLE'S PLAN FOR ECONOMIC INCLUSION, WHICH FOCUSES ON CREATING JOB OPPORTUNITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT TO FOSTER EQUITABLE EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT PATHWAYS IN SAN BERNARDINO. ARTS CONNECTION IS LEADING EFFORTS TO SHOWCASE HOW THE ARTS IS AN ECONOMIC DRIVER AND ENHANCING THE PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS FROM CRADLE TO CAREER FOR THE ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT SECTORS.IN ADDITION, US BANK SUPPORTED THE DEVLOPMENT OF THE ARTIST MICROGRANT AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES TO SUPPORT THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS SETS FOR ARTISTS BY AWARDING US A $ 20,000 GRANT.LASTLY, THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARTS MIDWEST, AWARDED US A BIG READ GRANT OF $ 20,000.
