ISWV'S OBJECTIVE IS TO INSTILL CLOSENESS TO GOD IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH PROVIDING AN OPEN AND WELCOMING MASJID THAT FOSTERS SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT, PROMOTES A COMPREHENSIVE ISLAMIC IDENTITY, STRENGTHENS COMMUNAL BONDS,

OUR RAMADAN PROGRAM PROVIDES A SAFE AND PEACEFUL PLACE OF WORSHIP DURING THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN FOR MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. THIS INCLUDES HOSTING DAILY PRAYERS, LATE NIGHT PRAYERS, COMMUNITY DINNERS, SPIRITUAL LECTURES AND EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH AS WELL AS PROVIDING 2-3 MEALS A WEEK FOR FAMILIES THAT ATTEND. USUALLY APPROXIMATELY 150 FAMILIES ATTEND OUR FACILITY DURING THIS MONTH, HOWEVER DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, IN-PERSON GATHERINGS WERE LIMITED.


OUR JUMUAH AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS PROVIDE A SPACE FOR WEEKLY COMMUNITY PRAYERS, SOCIAL GATHERINGS, YOUTH AND FAMILY EVENTS, SPIRITUAL LECTURES, HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS AND COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THIS INCLUDES CONDUCTING THE WEEKLY FRIDAY SERMON AND PRAYER AT A RENTAL FACILITY NEARBY. DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, IN-PERSON GATHERINGS WERE LIMITED.


OUR ZAKAT PROGRAM AIMS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO VARIOUS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED EITHER DIRECTLY, OR THROUGH CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS TO OTHER VARIOUS, QUALIFIED ORGANIZATIONS. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE MAY GO TOWARDS COSTS FOR HOUSING, FOOD, EDUCATION OR MEDICAL NEEDS.
