MERCY HEALTH FOUNDATION JEFFERSON'S (THE "FOUNDATION") PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS TO ENGAGE IN FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT CHARITY CARE PROVIDED TO THE PATIENTS OF MERCY HOSPITAL JEFFERSON (THE "HOSPITAL"), THE ORGANIZATION BEING SUPPORTED BY THE FOUNDATION, AND TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CAPITAL EXPENSES INCURRED AND PROGRAMS CARRIED ON BY THE HOSPITAL ON BEHALF OF PATIENTS.
