COMMITTED TO RESTORING THE HEALING GIFTS OF JESUS CHRIST TO HIS CHURCH, COMING ALONGSIDE ALL WHO ARE IN NEED OF HIS HEALING TOUCH, IN BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT.
THE WELCOME HOME INITIATIVE SERIES INCLUDING A THREE DAY RETREAT HELD IN NORTH VIRGINIA BEACH DURING MARCH 2020 IS FOR WAR-ZONE VETERANS SUFFERING IN VARYING DEGREES OF POST-TRAUMATIC STREE AND MORAL/SOUL INJURY. AS A COMPLEMENT TO MEDICAL, PSYCHIATRIC, AND SOCIAL SERVICES ALREADY IN PLACE, ASSURING A WELCOMING AND SAFE PLACE FOR VETERANS AND SPOUSES. THE PROGRAM OFFERS A SERIES OF TALKS ON: RESOURCES FOR COPING AND RECOVERY, HEALING OF MEMORIES, THE IMPORTANCE OF TELLING YOUR STORY AND HOW TO DO SO EFFECTIVELY, IMPACT OF POST-TRAUMA STRESS UPON FAMILY AND OTHER CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS. THE PROGRAM AND SERIES IS ONGOING AND CONTINUES TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
