FASO IS THE FIRST FILIPINO AMERICAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA IN THE ENTIRE U.S. ITS PURPOSE IS TO ASSIST IN DEVELOPING, TRAINING AND PROMOTING FILIPINO MUSICIANS AND ARTISTS.

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS FASO CONDUCTED YEAR LONG EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS IN MUSIC INSTRUMENTS, VOCALS AND SONG WRITING IN THE UNDERPRIVILEGED COMMUNITIES IN LOS ANGELES. FASO ALSO PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COMPOSITIONS AND OTHER MUSIC RELATED AWARDS.


WITH COVID-19, FASO HELD A VIDEO CONCERT IN DECEMBER. ARRANGEMENTS AS WELL AS POPULAR MUSIC, SOME WRITTEN BY FILIPINO ARTISTS, WERE PERFORMED BY COMMUNITY CHILDREN AND ADULT CHOIRS BOTH FROM THE PHILIPPINES AND THE U.S.


PARTICIPATED IN VARIOUS COMMUNITY VIDEO PRESENTATIONS, HELD STRATEGIC MEETINGS IN PLANNING AND PROMOTING FILIPINO MUSIC AND COMPOSITIONS.
