EVENING REPORTING CENTER (ERC) THE EVENING REPORTING CENTER IS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO JUVENILE DETENTION. YOUNG MEN THAT COME THROUGH THE ERC WILL GO THROUGH A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOCUSING ON CHARACTER. WE TRY TO HELP THESE YOUNG MEN SEE THAT GOD CREATED THEM. WE ALSO TRY TO REACH OUT TO THEIR FAMILIES AND HELP ENCOURAGE HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AT HOME. WE HAVE A SECONDARY PROGRAM UNDER ERC THAT TARGETS PRE-TEENS THAT ARE FIRST OR SECOND TIME OFFENDERS. THIS HAS OPENED THE DOOR TO REACH MANY MORE KIDS BEFORE THEY MAKE THE COICE TO CONTINUE DOWN A DESTRUCTIVE PATH. CLASSES ARE HELD AT THE BARTHOLOMEW CENTER MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 4PM-7PM.
ADOPT-A-BLOCK (AAB) ADOPT-A-BLOCK WAS THE FIRST FEET-ON-THE GROUND MINISTRY OF HOPE STREET. SINCE JANUARY 2014 TEAMS HAVE BECOME LIKE NEIGHBORS TO THE RESIDENTS OF SULPHUR SPRINGS. EACH FIRST AND THIRD SATURDAYS OF EVERY MONTH, VOLUNTEERS VISIT THE NEIGHBORS ON THEIR BLOCK TO ENCOURAGE, PRAY WITH AND ASSIST WITH NEEDS THEY MAY HAVE. THE GOAL OF THIS MINISTRY IS TO FORM RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE NEIGHBORS, SHARE THE GOSPEL AND HELP BRING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY TO THE AREA. AAB HAS EXPANDED TO 13 BLOCKS AND WE ARE REACHING 450 HOMES EVERY 1ST AND 3RD SATURDAY OF THE MONTH.
MISCELLANEOUS OTHER MINISTRIES HOUSED IN THE BARTHOLOMEW CENTER. A MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP WITH CONNECTION 14:6, ASSURE WOMEN'S CENTER WAS STABLISHED IN 2016.
