LESPRI MINISTRIES SEEKS TO SEE THE COUNTRY OF HAITI TRANSFORMED THROUGH: VALUING EDUCATING EQUIPPING AND EMPOWERING HAITI'S ORPHANS CHILDREN AND YOUTH WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND PRACTICAL PREPARATORY SKILLS FOR LIFE. SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THIS GOAL LESPRI MINISTRIES SEEKS TO CHANGE THE NATION OF HAITI THROUGH: CHRISTIAN EVANGELISM AND CHARITABLE OUTREACH.

LESPRI CONTINUED SERVING AND RAISING OUR 9 CHILDREN HERE IN HAITI UNTIL MAY WHEN TWO OF OUR ELDEST BOYS AGED 20 MOVED OUT. CHILDREN YOUTH INSIDE OUR HOME RECEIVED 3 MEALS A DAY WITH A SNACK AN EXCELLENT HAITIAN EDUCATION MEDICAL CARE TUTORING AND A LOVING FAMILY ATMOSPHERE. CHILDREN RECEIVED BIRTHDAY PARTIES A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AND TRIPS TO THE POOL BEACH WITHIN THE YEAR.
THE YEAR 2021 WAS MARKED BY POLITICAL INSTABILITY SCHOOL CLOSURES AND VIOLENCE IN HAITI. LESPRI'S SCHOOL ENTERED ITS 7TH YEAR OF OPERATIONS WITH 174 STUDENTS ENROLLED. LESPRI'S SCHOOL CONTINUED TO INCLUDE A SPECIAL KLAS AVANSE FOR STUDENTS OVER THE AGE OF 10 THAT HAD NEVER BEEN TO SCHOOL BEFORE.
DESPITE NUMEROUS DIFFICULTIES LESPRI SERVED MANY CHARITABLY IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY THIS YEAR. THE FOLLOWING IS A BRIEF LIST OF SOME OF THE MANY FORMS OF AID GIVEN. IN 2021 LESPRI CHARITABLY CONDUCTED THESE ENDEAVORS: LESPRI RENTED 9 HOUSES FOR THE POOR FOR SINGLE MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN AND ONE FAMILY WITH TWO HANDICAPPED PARENTS.. LESPRI PURCHASED AND DISTRIBUTED 476 SIZES RANGING IN SMALL TO LARGE GENERAL GROCERY FOOD SETS RICE OIL SPAGHETTI ETC. FOR NEEDY FAMILIES IN 2021. LESPRI PAID CHARITABLE MEDICAL AND DENTAL BILLS FOR 12 STAFF MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT 2021. LESPRI PURCHASED AND DISTRIBUTED 31 BIBLES TO YOUTH IN 2021. LESPRI ASSISTED A YOUNG ORPHANED MAN WITH MEDICAL COMPLICATIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITH FOOD HOUSING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS. LESPRI PURCHASED DIAPERS AND MILK FOR A TEENAGE MOTHER AND BABY MULTIPLE TIMES IN 2021. LESPRI PAID FOR SEWING CLASSES FOR THE 3 LESPRI GIRLS. LESPRI PAID FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSIONS FOR AN UNEMPLOYED MAN RECOVERING FROM SURGERY. IN AUGUST LESPRI CONDUCTED AN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD HYGENIC ITEMS AND MORE TO 12 NEEDY FAMILIES DISPLACED BY THE EARTH QUAKE AND LIVING IN TENTS IN LES CAYES HAITI. LESPRI ASSISTED SEVERAL STAFF MEMBERS IN PAYING FOR THER CHILDREN'S SCHOOL TUITIONS FOR GRADE SCHOOL. LESPRI PURCHASED A BED FOR A HANDICAPPED MAN RENTED A HOME FOR HIM AND GAVE HIM FOOD AND CLOTHING. LESPRI HELPED FEED 13 MEN IN TI GOAVE WHO WERE RUNNING A MINISTRY TO YOUTH THERE. LESPRI BOUGHT A CHARITABLE WHEELCHAIR FOR A NEEDY HANDICAPPED MAN.
