IN 2020 WALLACE MOBILE HEALTHCARE, INC PROVIDED FREE MEDICAL, DENTAL AND VISION CARE TO RESIDENTS OF KNOX COUNTY, TN WHO WERE UNABLE TO OBTAIN HEALTH INSURANCE OR WERE UNABLE TO AFFORD BASIC HEALTHCARE SERVICES BECAUSE OF UNEMPLOYMENT, CHRONIC ILLNESS, AND OTHER EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES. COVID 19 SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED OPERATIONS AND AS A RESULT ONLY ONE LIVE CLINIC AND TWO VIRTUAL CLINICS WERE HELD. NONETHELESS, PATIENTS RECEIVED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF MEDICATION AT NO COST. CHRONIC DISEASE PROCESSES WERE MONITORED AND TREATED IN FOR REGULAR PATIENTS ACROSS KNOX COUNTY. FREE DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES INCLUDING BLOODWORK AND X-RAYS WERE PROVIDED TO SUPPLEMENT THE CARE PROVIDED IN THE CLINIC SETTING. WALLACE MOBILE HEALTHCARE WAS SUCCESSFUL IN OBTAINING ASSISTANCE FROM PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES OR OTHER LOCAL HEALTHCARE PARTNERS WHEN PATIENTS REQUIRED CARE FOR COMPLICATED OR SPECIAL HEALTH PROBLEMS. ALL SERVICES WERE ORGANIZED BY A SMALL STAFF OF VOLUNTEERS WHO RECEIVE NO PAYMENT FOR THEIR TIME. SIMILARLY, SERVICES WERE PROVIDED AT CLINIC SITES BY A TEAM OF LOYAL VOLUNTEERS WHO DONATE THEIR TIME TO PROVIDE CARE TO THOSE IN NEED.
