TO RESTORE THE MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN IN FRONT OF WASHINGTON, DC, POLICE HEADQUARTERS AND CONSTRUCT A WALL ADJACENT THERETO WITH THE NAMES OF MPD POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY, AND RESTORE AND MAINTAIN THE D.C. METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT (MPD) MUSEUM OF POLICE ARTIFACTS DATING BACK TO ITS FOUNDING IN 1861 BY PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN AND THEREBY EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE RICH HISTORY OF MPD.

CODE 541300: AN ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING CONTRACT WAS AWARDED TO THE A&E FIRM OF BEYERBLINDERBELLE FOR SITE MASTER PLANNING, SITE ASSESSMENT, EXISTING CONDITIONS EVALUATION, AND CONSTRUCTION DRAWING DEVELOPMENT BASED ON THE DESIGN CONCEPT THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE UNITED STATES COMMISSION OF FINE ARTS, THE UNITED STATES NATIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION, AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA HISTORICAL PRESERVATION OFFICE. WORK OCCURRING O DATE INCLUDES THREE PHASES OF THE PROJECT; COMPLETION OF PHASE 1 - EXISTING CONDITIONS VERIFICATION; PHASE 2 - DESIGN CONCEPT PRICING; AND PHASE 3 - PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
