ADVOCACY FOR TRANSFORMATIONAL FUNDING AND POLICIES: THE GOAL OF THIS ACTIVITY IS TO SECURE REGIONAL PUBLIC FUNDING AND ADVANCE POLICY THAT SUPPORTS TOGETHER BAY AREA'S MISSION AND OUR MEMBERS' PROJECTS BY HARNESSING THE COLLECTIVE POWER OF OUR LARGE AND DIVERSE COALITION OF ORGANIZATIONS. ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED FOR SIGNIFICANT FUNDING FOR KEY STATE AGENCIES, SUPPORTED CALIFORNIA'S 30X30 INITIATIVE, AND CONVENED MEMBER TRIPS TO SACRAMENTO.


CONVENING A POWERFUL COALITION: THE GOAL IS TO BUILD THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PROFESSIONALS AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS THAT WILL SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL CHANGES REQUIRED FOR RESILIENT LANDS AND COMMUNITIES. WE ALSO WANT TO INCREASE COLLABORATION IN ORDER TO IMPROVE OUR COLLECTIVE ABILITY TO RESPOND TO CHALLENGES AND RISE TO OPPORTUNITIES. ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: LED THE CONNECTING URBAN BIODIVERSITY PROGRAM TO INTEGRATE COMMUNITY AND PROFESSIONAL SCIENCE FOR URBAN BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION. CONVENED TOGETHER BAY AREA MEMBERS AT AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE, MEMBER SHOWCASE EVENTS, MEMBER- LED FIELD TRIPS, WORKING GROUPS, AND OTHER IN-PERSON AND ONLINE GATHERINGS. LAUNCHED THE RIGHTS RELATIONS PROGRAM TO INCREASE THE REGION'S CAPACITY FOR TRIBAL ALLIANCES.
