THE IAF BEGAN TO TAKE THE DEFINITION FOR ADVERSE PROCESSING IMPACTS FROM THE FAIR AND OPEN USE ACT AS THE BASIS FOR ASSESSING FUTURE LEGISLATION IN THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER COUNTRIES, SUCH AS CANADA, THAT WERE CONSIDERING LEGISLATION. THE PURPOSE WAS TO SET CLEAR, ACTIONABLE OBJECTIVES FOR THE NEXT GENERATIONS OF DATA AND DIGITAL POLICY LEGISLATION.THE IAF BEGAN A NEW PROJECT TO LINK THE ACCOUNTABILITY PRINCIPLE TO THE MATURITY MAP FOR ORGANIZATIONS PRIVACY OPERATIONS.THE IAF EXPLORED HOW THE PROPORTIONALITY PRINCIPLE COULD BETTER BE LINKED TO RISK TO PEOPLE.
