HECC'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE K-12 TECHNOLOGY LEADERS AND EDUCATORS WITH TIMELY INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION, EFFICIENCY AND THE INTEGRATION OF TECHNOLOGY.

HECC OFFERS K-12 TECHNOLOGY LEADERS/EDUCATORS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE PRESENTING TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS AND RESOURCES FOCUSING ON THE K-12 ENVIRONMENT. THIS IS A THREE DAY CONFERENCE AVERAGING 1,489 ATTENDEES THAT FOCUSES ON THE TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE K-12 ENVIRONMENT. TWO-THIRDS OF THE ATTENDEES ARE K-12 TECHNOLOGY PERSONNEL; ONE THIRD OF THE ATTENDEES ARE ADMINISTRATORS AND CLASSROOM TEACHERS. THE CONFERENCE IS A VITAL RESOURCE FOR INDIANA K-12 EDUCATORS BECAUSE OF ITS AFFORDABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY. THE CONFERENCE HAS 182 VENDOR BOOTHS SET UP TO DISPLAY VARIOUS K-12 HARDWARE/SOFTWARE SERVICES. SESSIONS ARE PRESENTED BY VOLUNTEERS FROM SCHOOL DISTRICTS, VENDORS AND HECC BOARD MEMBERS. ATTENDEES WHO COME FOR 2 OR 3 DAYS RECEIVE THAT YEAR'S SELECTED CONFERENCE TECHNOLOGY TOOL. SEVERAL SESSIONS ARE GEARED TOWARDS USING THIS TOOL IN A K-12 LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. PREVIOUS CONFERENCE TECHNOLOGY TOOLS HAVE BEEN A SAMSUNG CHROMEBOOK, A SPHERO II ROBOTIC BALL PAIRED WITH A TOSHIBA 7" ENCORE TABLET, A LEGO MINDSTORM ROBOTIC KIT, AN AMAZON ECHO, A RICOH THETA 360 CAMERA, A LENOVO VR SOLO HEADSET, A CHATTERBOX, AND A TOYBOX 3D PRINTER. THE 2023 CONFERENCE TOOL WAS A HOPPER DRONE BY FTW ROBOTICS.
