THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY LOCALLY IS TO PROVIDE FOR CHILDREN'S PROJECTS IN WYLIE PARK, ABERDEEN, SD, A COMMUNITY WITH OVER 30,000 POPULATION. THE SERTOMA CLUB DOES FUNDRAISING FOR PROJECTS TO MAINTAIN AND UPDATE THE PARK AS THE NEED ARISES. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY INTERNATIONALLY FOR THE SERTOMA CLUB IS TO HELP PROMOTE AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE TODAY FOR THOSE AT RISK OR IMPACTED BY HEARING LOSS THROUGH EDUCATION AND SUPPORT.

THE SERTOMA CLUB SOLICITS FUNDS FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS AND MAINTENANCE OF STORYBOOK LAND, A THEME PARK IN ABERDEEN, SD. PROMOTION FUNDS ALLOCATED BY THE CITY OF ABERDEEN IS A MAJOR SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR THIS PURPOSE.


THE SPONSORSHIP FUND OF THE SERTOMA CLUB PROVIDES ASSISTANCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: (1) THE NEW "CELEBRATE SOUND" SERTOMA PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO HEARING IMPAIRED CHILDREN THROUGH SUPPORT VOUCHERS AND HEARING DEVICES OF A LOCAL AUDIOLOGIST; (2) THE CLUB PURCHASED CAMPERSHIPS FOR HEARING IMPAIRED CHILDREN FOR CAMP SERTOMA; AND (3) OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ABERDEEN COMMUNITY GRANTS ARE MADE.
