THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL AND TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF TEACHING AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES IN SOUTH DAKOTA. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 4,700 MEMBERS IN THE ASSOCIATION.
