POWER SHIFT NETWORK MOBILIZES THE COLLECTIVE POWER OF YOUNG PEOPLE TO MITIGATE THE CLIMATE CRISIS AND CREATE A JUST, CLEAN ENERGY FUTURE AND RESILIENT, THRIVING COMMUNITIES FOR ALL. WITH A NATIONAL NETWORK OF MORE THAN 100 CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, WE'RE BUILDING A STRONG, INTERSECTIONAL, BOTTOM-UP MOVEMENT TO TAKE ON THE CLIMATE CRISIS, SHIFT THE POWER, AND CREATE SYSTEMIC CHANGE. IN FY22 WE LED VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON POLITICAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR YOUTH CLIMATE ACTIVISTS AROUND THE COUNTRY; CONVENED AN IN-PERSON MEETING OF NETWORK MEMBERS TO STRATEGIZE, COLLABORATE, AND BUILD POWER; PROVIDED FISCAL SPONSORSHIP TO EMERGING YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS; OFFERED MENTORSHIP TO YOUTH LEADERS FROM BIPOC AND OTHER MARGINALIZED IDENTITIES; AND LAID THE GROUNDWORK FOR A MASSIVE CLIMATE CONVENING IN 2023.
