HULIAUAPA`A IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PRESERVATION, PERPETUATION, AND EDUCATION IN MATTERS RELATING TO THE NATIVE HAWAIIAN CULTURE AND TO THE NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES OF HAWAI`I. HULIAUAPA`A SHALL FULFILL ITS PURPOSES THROUGH ITS EDUCATIONAL AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS.

THE WAHI KUPUNA INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS A FIVE-WEEK SUMMER INTERNSHIP FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN THE FIELDS OF ANTHROPOLOGY, ARCHAEOLOGY, HAWAIIAN STUDIES, AND RELATED FIELDS. THE PROGRAM AIMS TO DEVELOP AND SUPPORT THE NEXT GENERATION OF CULTURAL RESOURCE MANAGERS IN HAWAI`I BY OFFERING A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT BRIDGES THE WORLD VIEWS OF CULTURE AND SCIENCE IN THE FIELD OF ARCHEOLOGY.


KALI`UOKAPA`AKAI COLLECTIVE PROGRAM IS AN ALOHA AINA ALLIANCE THAT HAS COME TOGETHER TO ACTIVATE OUR KULEANA TO PROTECT HAWAI`I'S WAHI KUPUNA (ANCESTRAL PLACES AND RESOURCES) AND `IKE KUPUNA (ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE). THE COLLECTIVE IS MADE UP OF ADVOCATES IN WAHI KUPUNA STEWARDSHIP. THEY ARE THE AGENTS OF ALOHA, KULEANA, TRANSFORMATION, AND ACTION WHO GATHER AND SHARE RESOURCES TOGETHER TO CREATE ABUNDANCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL.
