NWVP HAS BEEN PROVIDING BACKBONE LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT TO A COMMUNITY-WIDE COLLECTIVE IMPACT EFFORT TO REDUCE ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES (ACES) AND BUILD RESILIENCY IN THURSTON COUNTY WASHINGTON. IN 2014, ORGANIZATION SPONSORED A COMMUNITY SUMMIT-RESILIENT CHILDREN, RESILIENT COMMUNITIES-IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF OLYMPIA, FSG, AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION THEN WORKED WITH A COUNTY COMMISSIONER TO HOST A FOLLOW-UP RETREAT TO CONTINUE THE SUMMIT DISCUSSIONS. AFTERWARD, TWO SIMILAR COMMUNITY COALITIONS MERGED INTO ONE WITH A CLEAR PLAN, THE THURSTON COUNCIL FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH (TCCY), A CONSORTIUM OF CITIZENS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF APPROXIMATELY 95 LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. NWVP FACILITATED TCCY'S ADOPTION OF AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE, GROUP NORMS, AND A LOGIC MODEL THAT IDENTIFIED A COMMON AGENDA AND A STRATEGY FORMED AROUND FIVE KEY GOAL AREAS. FURTHERMORE, NWVP ENGAGED TCCY IN A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF KEY DATA, PROGRAMS AND SERVICE CONCERNING ACE'S AND RESILIENCY IN THURSTON COUNTY.
