COURSE INSTRUCTION: TAUGHT A LICENSED PROGRAM IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT 12 HIGH SCHOOL SITES. MORE THAN 400 STUDENTS WERE SERVED IN THE PROGRAM DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. THE CLASSES WERE TAUGHT BY A TOTAL OF 12 INSTRUCTORS, TEACHING 16 SEPARATE CLASSES IN 3 SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.
GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS: A TOTAL OF 9 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE GIVEN TO STUDENTS FROM THE YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS GEORGIA PROGRAM. TO STREAMLINE OPERATIONS AND DELIVER PROGRAMS AS EFFICIENTLY AND COST EFFECTIVELY AS POSSIBLE, A LEGAL ENTITY RESTRUCTURE WAS EXECUTED. EFFECTIVE MAY 31, 2017, YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS GEORGIA, INC. (YEG) GRANTED ITS NET ASSETS TO YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS, INC. (YE) AND YE ASSUMED THE OPERATIONS OF YEG. YEG WAS THEN IMMEDIATELY DISSOLVED.
ALUMNI & OTHER STUDENT EDUCATIONAL SERVICES: DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 5-31-17, MORE THAN 25 GRADUATES OF THE YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS GEORGIA PROGRAM TOOK PART IN OUT OF CLASSROOM INITIATIVES THAT INCLUDED SUMMER ECONOMICS SEMINARS, JOB READINESS WORKSHOPS, JOB SHADOWS AND PAID INTERNSHIPS AND OTHER PROGRAM RELATED FIELD TRIPS AND SOCIAL EVENTS.
