Part 3 - Line 1

THE FOUNDATION WILL RAISE MONEY AND USE THAT MONEY TO HELP ADVANCE RESEARCH FOR MORE AND/OR IMPROVED TREATMENTS FOR THOSE AFFLICTED WITH DYSTONIA, AND SUPPORT EFFORTS TO CURE THE DISORDER. IT WILL ALSO HELP SUPPORT THE NEEDS AND WELL-BEING OF AFFECTED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. THE FOUNDATION WILL LIKELY TEAM UP WITH AND SUPPORT OTHER DYSTONIA CHARITIES, SUCH AS TYLER'S HOPE AND THE DYSTONIA MEDICAL RESERACH FOUNDATION IN ITS EFFORTS TO ADVANCE RESEARCH FOR MORE AND/OR IMPROVED TREATMENTS AND ULTIMATELY A CURE. AMONG OTHER THINGS, THE FOUNDATION WILL LIKELY FUND INDIVIDUAL DRUG STUDIES IN THIS REGARD.

THE FOUNDATION IS PRESENTLY WORKING WITH SEVERAL OF THE PREEMINENT SCIENTISTS IN THE FIELD OF DYSTONIA, WHO COMPRISE OUR MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY COUNCIL (MSAC). THE MSAC CONDUCTS PEER-REVIEW OF RESEARCH APPLICATIONS, SETS THE DIRECTION OF RESEARCH AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BOARD FOR FUNDING RESEARCH. THE FOUNDATION ALSO TEAMED UP WITH DYSTONIA MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION (DMRF) TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO ADVANCE RESEARCH TOWARD IMPROVED DYSTONIA TREATMENT OPTIONS AND ULTIMATELY A CURE. IN 2022, THE FOUNDATION FUNDED THREE GRANTS (1)"GENETIC MODIFIERS OF PENETRANCE IN DYTI DYSTONIA", AND (2) "STRIATAL MICROCIRCUIT DEFECTS IN DYTI DYSTONIA AND (3) DYSTONIA MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION.
