EXPANSION OF TRAINEE SEWING PROGRAM IN SUPPORT OF THE DEMAND FOR THE INCREASED PRODUCTION OF U.S. GOODS. WE SEE BEAUTY'S GRANT PROVIDES 80-90 WORKERS TO BECOME SKILLED SEWERS.
WORKER COOPERATIVE IMPROVING WORKING CONDITIONS, INCREASING WAGES AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AMONG WORKERS, PRIMARILY IMMIGRANT WOMEN. GRANT WILL SUPPORT 15 NEW MEMBERS.
CREATE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN IMPACTED BY GENDER, RACIAL, AND SOCIAL INEQUITY.THE GRANT MADE WILL HELP PROVIDE LOW INCOME WOMEN TRAINING TO HELP GET JOBS IN FOOD SERVICE.
